Saving a Search -- Why and How

PatentWatcher™ enables you to save searches.  By saving a search, you can:

You can run saved searches again manually in either of two ways.  You can select a saved search from a list and run that search.  You can use the Look command to run all selected saved searches.

Saving a search is easy.  Once you have created a search and run it, the Current Search Statement label near the top of the main window shows the command mode search statement implied by the way the QBF form was completed.

Whenever the Current Search Statement label is displaying a search statement, you can save that search using the Save Search command.  Be careful to distinguish the Save Search command from the Saved Searches command.

Executing the Save Search command will open a message box prompting you to enter a name for the saved search.  You can used the name to summarize what the search is about.  This helps you choose from among saved searches later without having to read and decipher the command mode search statement.

You can use any name for a saved search except:
