Automation Hit Lists

PatentWatcher™ enables you to schedule saved searches to be run again automatically at intervals you specify.  (See Automating Selected Saved Searches)  PatentWatcher™ saves hit lists retrieved by automated queries.  The HitLists command opens a dialog that lets you see a list of hit lists that have been saved by automated queries.

The Hit Lists dialog includes a column headed Status.  The cells in this column will have one of three values:  New Hits, Seen, or blank.  "New Hits" means that automation of the query has retrieved new hits and that you have not yet viewed the hit list of new hits.  "Seen" means that automation of the query has retrieved new hits and that you already have viewed the hit lit of new hits.  A blank means that in the last relevant time interval, automation of the query has not yet retrieved any new hits.

You can view any of the automation hit lists by selecting it and using the Get Hit List command.  As a short cut, you can both select a hit list and call it to be displayed in one step by double clicking it.

At first the automation hit list displays only the most recently retrieved hits for the query.  If you want to include previously retrieved hits, click the Most Recent and Previous option button.

The rest of the features of automation hit lists are the same as for hit lists retrieved when queries are created in the QBF form, re-run manually from the Saved Searches dialog, or re-run manually using Look.  See the topic Hit List.
